A Malaysia Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration 9M-MTG performing flight MH-319 from Beijing (China) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), was climbing out of Beijing's new Daxing Airport when the crew stopped the climb at 2800 meters/9300 feet due to problems with the cabin pressure. The aircraft burned off fuel and returned to Beijing for a safe landing about 2.5 hours after departure.

A passenger reported one of the door seals had been worked on before departure, the repair probably wasn't fully successful causing a problem with the cabin pressure and the return of the aircraft.

The airline reported a problem with an aircraft system.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 2:40 hours, then departed again and reached Kuala Lumpur with a delay of 6 hours.
