MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — A passenger jet made an emergency landing Wednesday at the Mobile Regional Airport. It happened shortly before 2:30 p.m.

SkyWest says the flight was en route from Tallahassee to Dallas when an indicator light in the cockpit alerted the pilots to a mechanical issue. The flight diverted to Mobile Regional Airport, where it landed safely.

Technicians are working to repair the issue. A spokesperson for SkyWest said they believe the light was triggered by a brake issue.

SkyWest says they are working to accommodate the passengers as quickly as possible.
