A LAM Linhas Aereas De Mocambique Boeing 737-700, registration C9-BAR performing flight TM-144 (Callsign LAM1134) from Maputo to Quelimane (Mozambique), landed on Quelimane's runway 18 at about 14:45L (12:45Z) but went left off the runway near the runway end coming to a stop with all gear on the grass between runway and taxiway to assist backtracking. There were no injuries.

A passenger video shows it was raining at the time, the runway, taxiways and grass were wet.

The airline reported: "A LAM aircraft, Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, when landing this afternoon on the runway at Quelimane airport, coming from Maputo, ended up sliding, ending up at the end of the runway. The incident, which recorded no human casualties, occurred this afternoon, around 2.40 pm, with the Boeing aircraft, B737-700, C9BAR, which was flying TM 1134, between Maputo and Quelimane. Firefighters from Mozambique's airports rushed in immediately and then passengers and crew disembarked and were taken to airport facilities."
